On page optimization is a technique in which we make some minor changes in the source code of each page of the website. On page is basically editing your page and content of the page so that Search Engine can find your webpage when a user is searching for your web sites particular topic (keyword).
On page Factors
1) Keyword in Domain name is very beneficial in terms of Google algorithm.
2) Keyword in URL is very good.
3) Keyword in title tag. But the length of the title tag according to Google algorithm should not be more than 60 characters.
4) Keywords in Meta Description tag. The length of the description should not be more than 180 characters.
5) Keywords in Meta keyword tag. Every word in this tag MUST appear somewhere in the body text. If not, it can be penalized for irrelevance.
No single word should appear more than twice.
6) Keyword density in the body text or in the content of the site should not be more than 5 to 8%.
7) Keywords in H1, H2 tag is also very beneficial. Google gives more important to header text than general text.
Keywords in Alt tags. As Google crawler does not read image and flash files so we provide alternative tag i.e. ALT tag to images.
9) Keyword in links to site pages (anchor text)
